Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to universal digital accessibility, WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, keyboard navigation, sensory display controls, and feedback remediation SLA.

Commitment to Digital Accessibility

Plod & Ponder Publications is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all readers, including individuals with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA Title III) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

1. Accessibility Architecture & Measures Taken

We engineer our digital atlas with universal usability as a foundational constraint:

High Contrast & Typography

Engineered on a Deep Asphalt palette (#161513) with text contrast ratios exceeding WCAG Level AA thresholds (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large display headers).

Keyboard Navigability

All interactive components, ribbons, drawers, and form controls are fully navigable using a keyboard with visible, high-contrast focus rings and logical tab order.

Semantic HTML5 Landmarks

Structured with semantic tags (<header>, <main>, <nav>, <article>, <footer>) and descriptive ARIA labels for assistive screen readers.

Sensory & Motion Preferences

Full support for CSS media queries (prefers-reduced-motion) and user customization via our interactive Display Settings.

2. WCAG Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. Plod & Ponder conforms substantially with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We audit code hygiene and semantic landmarks across every build.

3. Feedback Mechanism & Remediation SLA
